Hi John,

Further to last night's email, I neglected to thank you very, very much for what you have done for the hobby. When I seriously decided to build an engine there was no choice in 3/4 inch scale, either build a Little Engines design, (not to my taste) or the P7 from Ted McJannett. I chose the latter and though it is too big of a job for this novice machinist I never regretted my choice. The common thought was that the old, much missed engines would never come back, and were gone forever. Thanks to you the nearly impossible has happened. What you have accomplished is amazing and the future looks good. When I was a young lad the CPR was very important to me, how I ended up with the CNR is a story for an other day. Anyhow I will always remember the motto of the Angus shop, “Never say it can’t be done....
Some day you’re bound to rue it
For some damn fool will come along
And he will surely do it.”

Maybe not verbatim, but close.

Best of health to all.

Happy rails,

Your pal,

George.
